Gregory Pearce is a Certified Clinical Counsellor (certification #12495) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (www.ccpa-accp.ca) and a Licensed School Psychologist (Reg#3138) with the College of Psychologists of BC (https://collegeofpsychologists.bc.ca/) . He holds a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador where he trained as a therapist and a school psychologist. He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a focus on personal psychology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. Greg has received training in several counselling approaches specializing in individual and couples counselling, as well as in psycho-educational assessment. For the past 20 years, Greg has worked helping youth and adults to move forward with their lives. His approach to counselling is one focused on helping the client find out why they are experiencing difficulties and working together to improve their situation. He prides himself on getting to know people and using a gentle approach to helping people realize that they deserve more in their life and are able to move forward and put behind those difficulties when given the right supports. By seeing a Certified Clinical Counsellor (with a Masters Degree from a recognized institution), you are taking the steps to ensure a high level of professionalism by individuals who have been through clinical supervision, and training in core counselling theories and practice. In addition, Extended Health Care Plans in British Columbia only reimburse payments to Certified Clinical Counsellors.
